My name is Brian Williams, and I am the chief Dot Connector at Local Nexus, where the mission is to help businesses, organizations, and people find the right information and collaborators to develop local and regional food systems in Ohio. The kind of work I do is outlined in this article I recently wrote for Strong Towns.
I am 63 years old and work as a Local-food systems planner. I've been doing this sort of work for 13 years as a consultant for and employee of non-profit organizations focused on rail and transit advocacy, urban revitalization, historic preservation, green energy and farmland preservation. Before that, I spent 25 years as a journalist in Ohio, Chicago, Thailand, Minnesota and back in Ohio.
